Scientists have newly found
That, though it can compound,
Climate damage already done
Can never be undone.
(It can't be turned around.)
If carbon emissions could be shut down,
Temperatures would not fall back down --
Certainly not in a biennium
And not even in a millennium.
This should be more widely known.
