TOO MUCH BOTHER

When I take a backward look,
I see how long us it took
(While all others we forsook)
To learn to live with each other.
To do that all again, in my book,
Would be too great a bother.

OR

When I take a backward look,
I see how long us it took
To learn to live with each other.
To do that all again with another
Would be too much, in my book.
