TWO INJURED CRITTERS

Two critters are on the mend
After help from human friends.
And perhaps it's little wonder
That the critter helped down under
On further help depends.

A wounded doe the other day,
Seeming to have lost her way,
Walked into a store for pets.
Once her wound was sewn by vets,
No longer did she stay.

The koala was injured by the fire
And feared it might expire.
Its condition made it clear
To a human who was near
That his help was its desire.

The firefighter it can thank
That from his jug it drank.
Until wild living it can face,
It'll stay in a helpful place
That, no doubt, is first rank.
